PORSCHE DESIGN - CHRONOGRAPH 1 - 911 EDITION 50 YEARS PORSCHE DESIGN
To celebrate 50 years of Porsche Design, the original Chronograph 1 first produced 50 years ago is being revived. The Chronograph 1 is unusual in that it is only available for the customers of the 50 Years Limited Edition 911 Targa 4 GTS. 750 of these cars are being produced so there are 750 watches. Each will be engraved with its own unique number, linked to your car. The watch is powered by the special Porsche Design Caliber WERK 01.240 with a flyback function. Fear not however, if you are not yet thinking of becoming an owner of the Limited Edition Targa, but you really like the look of this watch. There is also a Limited Edition Chronograph 1 - 1972 Limited Edition now available. There are 500 of these iconic watches and they are priced at $7,700. There are subtle differences between the two watches. The Edition 50 years has a more modern-looking PD logo than the Chronograph 1-1972 and it also has an exhibition back with a fuchs shaped rotor visible, whereas the Chronograph 1-1972 has a solid back.
