Bergeon Spring Bar Tool
BERGEON SPRING BAR TOOL 6767
If you want to change your watch strap yourself it is actually really easy - but you do need the right tool to do it and this Bergeon Spring Bar Tool is the one you want.

Turn the watch face down so you are not at risk of scratching the face. Place the pronged end of the tool between the inside of the lug (the bit where the strap sits) and the strap. Push towards you, this will release the spring bar.
Remove the spring bar from the strap (you may need pliers if it is stiff) and insert the spring bar into the new strap.

Keep the watch face down to avoid scratches. insert one end of the spring bar into the lug hole closest to you, take the pronged end of the Spring Bar Tool and place it against the springy bit of the spring bar and squeeze it towards you, guiding it towards the other hole in the lug. It should click into place as soon as it is the right position...
